Join our Mock OSCE (MOSCE) as an examiner. To sign up, please use your NHS.net email address. Please remember to add your booked slot to your calendar when you book, as non-attendance significantly affects the smooth running of the mock OSCE. Please let us know as far in advance as possible if you are no longer able to make your booked session in order to give us opportunity to try find a replacement.

As an examiner, you'll be provided with mark sheets and have a brief opportunity to provide verbal feedback to medical students. If you wish to be observed while giving feedback by one of our clinical teachers, please contact us before the session to make arrangements (subject to staff availability).

MOSCE- Volunteer Patients

Thank you for volunteering to be examined by our medical students! Your participation is invaluable to their learning experience. To sign up, please ensure you are comfortable with getting on and off an examination couch and are open to various types of student examinations, including limb, neurological, and chest examinations (respiratory or cardiac). Specific details will be provided on the day of the examination.

Please ensure to add the slot you have booked to your calendar - we will endeavour to send a reminder the week before. If you are no longer able to make the session you have booked please contact us as soon as possible so we are able to try make alternative arrangements and continue the smooth running of the session

We want to make your experience as convenient as possible. Expenses for parking will be covered, and if you're staying for a full day, we'll also provide expenses for lunch.

Summer School

This is a half-day session aimed at Year 9 students who may be interested in pursuing a career in medicine. The session aims to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds in exploring a potential career in medicine.

Over the course of the morning, we will provide more information on a career as a doctor, the application process and the journey from medical school to starting work. There will also be two interactive sessions covering the 'tools of the trade' where students can get hands on experience with some of the equipment used by doctors and 'Basic Life Support' where students can learn and practice cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

All members of staff hold a valid enhanced DBS check.
